The BRITISHOW is 112 songs in a 90-minute show. The BRITISHOW is 50 years of history through 19 thematic tableaux, including the British invasions of 1965 and 1985. It’s a road trip, with stops at Abbey Road, Manchester, Birmingham and Scotland. The monarchy and, of course, the world of James Bond are evoked. The 7 artists on stage, including Renee Wilkin, Yvan Pedneault and Pascal Dufour, take the audience on a journey, retracing the great swathes of English history and highlighting the subjects of the crown. Never has a nation contributed so much to the blossoming of musical genres. That’s the story that creator and director Mike Gauthier tells through a rich narrative and to the rhythm of Philippe Turcotte’s musical direction.
