Quatuor Molinari

Tour d'Europe

Concerts

The Molinari Quartet presents a concert of works with a rich colour palette. From Krzysztof Penderecki’s Quartet no 4 with a touch of Polish folklore to Azerbaidjani composer Franghiz Ali-Zadeh’s Eastern colours, and from Shostakovitch’s Russian torment to Debussy’s French refinement, this concert offers a wide variety of styles and national accents.

This Molinari Quartet musical journey is filled with excitement and passion.

Recipient of twenty-four Opus Prizes and internationally acclaimed by the public and the critics since its foundation in 1997, the Molinari Quartet has given itself the mandate to perform works from the 20th and 21st centuries repertoire for string quartet.

The Molinari Quartet as been described by the critics as an “essential” and “prodigious” ensemble, even “Canada’s answer to the Kronos or Arditti Quartet”. The Quartet has been invited to perform in numerous concert series and festivals in Canada, Europe and Asia and its CD’s have received international critical acclaim.
